Re: Pettigrew general hospital #13

At one time I had this website in "my favorites" I double check last night and could not find it.

I remember that a Purvis had the site up, I think maybe his name was Steve, but I cannot be sure. I have a bit of a confusing story about the Pvt. John Pittman buried there. he may or may not be my uncle. What makes this a bit of a mystery, i have been doing quite a bit of research on the Pittmans who served in the CSA from SW Mississippi. If he is my uncle, then my uncle survived the war. If he is not, then who is he? Did my uncle change ID's and escape and an unknown man buried in my uncles grave?

Now there was another John Pittman in Co. I 3rd Miss. he appears to have survived the war. Also his CSR gives a middle initial as "D", my uncle was "F(elix)" You can see why I would love to sort this mystery out.
