It strikes me as odd that the 'other' rebellion of 1810 isn't discussed often. Could it be that because it was squashed before it got off the ground or because it's just not known of? The United States government wasn't and isn't about to allow any other 'nation, republic, country' occupy space they deem as theirs. I agree with that in principle, but in theory, I can see flaws.
