I used to collect comic books when I was a kid, mostly Marvel but some D.C. Anyway I was at the bookstore last night looking for a book on the Civil War and I thought I would check out some of the collector comics they have there.

Well they don't call them comics much anymore. It's Graphic Novels, and they are graphic...blood everywhere. Anyway I saw one from D.C. with this guy in a gray reb uniform. He's the hero, "ant-hero" really. A shoot first, kill'em slow, bounty hunter. His name is Joshua Hex. A former seecesh soldier. Half his face is horribly mangled, a pop-eye, scars and two or three strands of skin covering both upper and lower lip. The other side of his face looks remarkably like Clint Eastwood...hummm...take-off on Josey Wales? I was surprised that in the Political Correct Age that they would have a Reb Hero, if you want to say Hero, he's about as bad as the guys he chases after..lol. I didn't buy the graphic novel....just read it as I stood there...Any of you Rebs fans of Mr. Joshua Hex or have seen the comic.

It was somewhat refreshing to see a non-pc correct hero, but Mr. Hex is much too violet for kids, definitely adult fare. Not a pleasant fellow Mr. Joshua Hex.
