Hex goes back to when I was collecting comics as a kid. I think the first issues came out in 71-72. There's also John Carter a Confederate hero that some how ends up on Mars a story written by Edgar Rice Burroughs and put to comic book form by DC comics. Then theres Haunted Tank, a M-3 Stuart tank haunted by J.E.B. Stuart.

A newer comic is GHOST RIDER: TRAIL OF TEARS about Lt. Travis Parham of the Confederate Army. Who is rescued by a freedman Caleb off of a battlefield that Travis is wounded on. Caleb makes Parham work off his dept by helping him work his land. Anyway dark majic and evil take over the story and with the war over and Parham losing all of his family, he moves west to encounter evil demons.
