When my two great uncles were paroled in June of 1865, in Illinois and Maryland, they walked home to Cobb County, Georgia, where they were born, and stayed there. They are buried near the soil they tilled. My GGF is buried in Virginia. They did not own any slaves before the war, and we sure as "hello" don't owe anybody an apology. Stan
