Chase, the thing that amazes me is that plenty of reports are coming out of Africa that slavery still exists there! You'd think that would interest African-American leaders more than ranting about what happened to their ancestors 200+ years ago. But no ... mustn't be any money to be made in stopping slavery where it is today.

p.s. It was various church denominations that started this apology for slavery fad. I think the Methodists and the Southern Baptists did so. I wonder if the NC apology has anything to do with the fact that Edwards is running for the presidential nomination ...
