Sounds interesting stephen, i love studdying all the wars from the cival war to the present. It is hard to imagine what those soldiers went through. Can you imagine sleeping outside with only one blanket? riding all day and eating cold meals. The men who fought the cival war and vietnan war were verry young. The men in the cival war probabley used alchol, where as the men in vietnam used drugs. I have a relative who was a medic in the vietnam war, he and his platoon went out into the jungle one night, only 2 came back. i can only imagine how terrfied they were. I also had a relative who was in the batan death march and one who was gassed to death in the battle of the aargon forrest. and gg grandfather killed in the cival war. Maby that is why i have an intrest in the wars.
