Thank you for the question. My Great Grandfather was with the 90th Illinois Infantry. They were known as the Irish Brigade. He served from the fall of 1862 till after the Grand Review in Washington and was mustered out at Camp Butler in June of 1865. Was wounded at the Tunnel at Missionry Ridge and at Ft. McAlister, Ga. Suffered a hernia near Columbia,SC. I never thougth much about this until in recent years. He must have been one tough fella to go through that back then and survive. What do you think? Frank
