Jim,
I saw that program and enjoyed it a lot. I was interested to find out that his son who was killed in a duel was named Phillp. I don't know the names of all his off spring as there were many, but not long ago I found out that when Springfield was first surveyed as a village in 1821 the surveyers were William and James Hamilton, two of his sons. Seems that he was one to stand on principal even at the cost of his life. He was very much against anyone making large amounts of money in public service. Something we need today. In my opinion.
