Paul, Martin made a very valid statement, when he said that Kentucky join the Confederacy after the war. My first wife from Casey County Kentucky had an ancestor in the Civil War who fought for the Union, as did most of her family. The older people remember that, but you would see all the kids driving around the courthouse with Confederate Flags. Not up on their genealogy, huh?
