Another subject brought up was that South Carolina was annoyed and upset that Georgia and the Gulf States Seceded in support of her. South Carolina was trying to make a point and wasn't really interested in joining a new Confederacy. The issue she was trying to make was now totally lost in excitement of six more states seceeding.
