I am glad that we see some commonality here. I think that under close inspection we will find that neither side was "Lily White" in the Southern rebellion/Northern invasion/War between the states/Civil War.
We had two large armies of mostly volunteers who were led by a small cadry of Army professionals who in the heat of battle during a moment of passion probably did commit atrcitries on each other and on various civilian populations. Most of it was in the south for sure since the Southern incursions into the north were few. It would be hard for the NCO's and Officers of either side from stopping most of it, I would think. I am thinking of MeaLai and Lt. Calley while I type this. i think you will get my point.
I closing, if Jim would install a spell check, I would not make so many mispellings.
