Incidentally, the "Eighty years ago" was from 2004, i.e.1924. I don't recall the US Army having any Indian General Officers, like Stand Watie, and others y'all know better than I. Grant's aide, Colonel Rawlings, a Seneca, I think, (Chase, check me on this) was the highest ranking Indian in the Union army. His Indian name started with "D" and ran about 20 letters. LOL Stan
