Dang, Chief: Professor Wilson lays it all out. I do't know Nolan, but Gallagher is one of the historians duped by Michael Belleilses and his book about guns in early America. When his book was exposed as based upon false and non existing data, the Bancrof prize he was awarded was retracted, and Bellisles was fired from Emory University. I haven't heard Gallagher say anything about his acceptance of Belleilses' flse premise. Stan
