I agree with you that Gal.3:28 offers us some of the "lofty ideals" to which mankind is to strive. As a Christian, it's what I believe to be a truth of God's love for all His children.

Now, that said, we could pursue this and might be guilty of board violations on two counts. 1. thread drift run amok and 2. being darned far off from the WBTS (I goofed on that one in my original post and Jim saved the thread by saying understanding of the AR era is needed for understanding of the WBTS era. Thanks, Jim. I'll try to do better in future.)

If you want to discuss the belief systems of Jefferson, et al, most of whom can't be proved to be devout Christians in our modern understanding of the word, then I respectfully suggest you need to ask our host if it's ok to start a thread on it.
