I'm sorry, Dennis, I don't know who Bobby Horton is, but I sure liked that music. My teenage son, a talented musician, heard Ashokan Farewell on the Burns CD and picked out arrangements on piano and guitar.
I especially liked the use of large brass instruments like tubas in "Palmyrische Schottische" and other tunes on that CD, but I have to say that my all-time favorite is the lament version of "Marching Through Georgia."
I don't think anything else on that CD quite approaches the feeling for such utter tragedy that the WBTS was...and still is. Well, maybe the Sullivan Ballou letter, but the other music does it to me more.
