Mike and Martin,

I've got a bunch of people seething at me for disallowing their posts, that provide nothing constructive other than the identification of Abraham Lincoln as a war mongering, blood thirsty monster and the Union leadership and soldiery as a heathen band of illegitimate, godless devils unleashed on an innocent and sacred South. (BTW, that language was overstated and for effect for those who need explanation.) Now, you guys are getting a little carried away, with your base feelings about Southerners as rapists, torturers and stranglers. I'm trying to extend an Olive Branch and it seems I'm going to get beaten over the head with it. Martin, your family's experience has been repeated more than once on this message board. Perhaps, we could talk more constructively on both sides about healing one hundred and forty year old wounds instead of repeating our hatred of our fellow board contributor's ancestors. I gotta' say, I don't find a bit of difference between "Nattys" postings, which I've deleted or blocked, and what you just posted about torture and strangulation.
