I view your "Olive Branch" offer as being unnecessary. These boards have been a great asset to the understanding of America's greatest conflict.

But, in the end they are YOUR boards. Posting on any of these boards I feel is like having a Drivers License. The State Government will quickly tell you that having a Drivers License is a "privilege" and not a "Right", even thought you pay Taxes that build the roads.

To have a Driver's License you have to pass a test and it can be taken away and you lose your privileges, if you break the rules.

These boards can not be run by committee. You, and those who you have chosen to administer these board, are the ones who must be responsible for the decorum on these boards.

Such behavior as you describe will kill these forums as surely as if you shut them down yourself. But you know this.
