Folks,

This thread is provoking some responses that are bordering on racist remarks regarding African-Americans. How about we view this as a representation of the problems with our legal system versus applying terms like "a lack of ambition and motivation" to an entire race of people? I am sure there are African-Americans that are just as embarrassed about the misuse of our court system and this story as anyone else on this message board.

All races, genders and other groups have lawyers and defendants just like these two.
