No disrespect to anyone intended, but did you ever hear of a "yellow dog" democrat? After FDR started the TVA and other programs beneficial to the South, if the democrats had run a yellow dog for office he would have gotten elected over any Republican. The tendency started, I'm sure, after Reconstruction, but I think the phrase came about during the depression. Stan
