George, I sure hope y'all don't lose power. It is almost certain we will. Our local power company has stated that by tomorrow we will likely be in the dark and that they won't even start to think about repairs for two weeks because all their workers will be in the New Orleans area. High population gets the nod over us out here in the sticks. In fact, they won't even be taking reports of outages for at 48 hours after the storm moves out.

We have two generators and about 40 gallons of gas, not counting what is in the vehicles and atv and boat tanks. We won't go without water. They can hook up any old diesel tractor up to our town's main water pump and run the pump off the tractor's PTO. It won't hurt me to sweat off a few pounds anyway. There is food in the cabinets and if that runs out I know where a small herd of deer hangs out on our property. If worse comes to worse I can go to Arkansas or Kentucky and I know Mississippi family is only about 3 hours away. Chainsaws, handsaws and axes are ready and the boomsticks are loaded. Y'all take care and know that we will be praying for everybody.
