I know that south did not export slaves. I was just trying to make the point to our friend that most monied folks in the south had their assets in either land or slaves and while you can't export ground very well, there was not market for the other commodity, that being slaves, where as the north was very industrial at that time and they did have products to sell and trade around the western world. Everything back in good order down there where you are? I have to be careful here now. I have one grandson in the great state of Georgia at Ft. Benning who hopes to become a ranger and another one in the great border state of Missouri at Ft. Leonard Wood who hopes to become a combat engineer.
