This show and the other in the series was produced by Wide Awake Films in Kansas City [link below]. They have a complete line of documentaries, most using footage from some of the very large national reenactments for the big shots and specially filmed segments for the close ups. I was an extra in "Bad Blood," a documentary about Bleeding Kansas that they did for Kansas City Public Television and the new video for the Wilson's Creek NBP visitor's center.
