I read a book by that title but it was written by Charles Bracelen Flood. Did Davis write one with a similar title? If it is Flood you're reading, check out the letter from Sherman to the regiment his son was "mascot" of before he died. Not the usual personna a lot of folks think of when Cump comes to mind. I mean Sherman not me, lol.
