Within the context of the Civil War, the part about civil rights is debatable because the Lincoln adminstration did not intend to grant them following emancipation. At least in this area, Lincoln believed in States Rights; i.e., the states should decide on matters of who could vote.

I do like the part about sending Rangers to speak in classrooms.
