I'm a little like you folks with split loyalties when Teaxs plays another Southern team. Alabama is next door, but one of my McCollum relatives fought at Bexar, before the Alamo, and until after Antietam, the 18th Georgia, ANV, in which my Boring ancestors fought, was part of the famous Texas Brigade. The First Texas and 18th Georgia suffered huge losses together in the cornfield, having earlier distiguished themselves at Gaines Mill. Nowadays, we can put it down to friendly rivalry when Southern teams play each other. Like Army and Navy after their game, they become a band of brothers after the game. Stan
