I don't think he's too weak. I think he doesn't want to address it. Anything that draws attention away from his 'agenda' is his enemy. Sooooo, he just adds another Czar to the payroll to do the lip service thing. His mouth has just about overloaded his nether region a few times and his comments about Arizona's actions were just one more shoe in the lips. If the 'movers and shakers' in DC thought States Rights was a dead issue, the need to check their rear view. It's getting ready to mow em down. This time it won't all be North or South. There's going to be a big mix.
Believe it or not, today at a meeting, a Black man told me he was just now seeing the States Rights issue in a different light. He'd always thought because it came up in the Civil War era it was just about slavery but now he's getting the bigger picture. He said it's about control isn't it? I told him that was pretty much it. The Union of States is to protect the whole, but not infringe on the rights of the individual states to act in any way that would be in their best interest. The Senator from South Dakota (I think, maybe North D) was talking last week and ranting about the Arizona mess and how horrible and inhumane it is. Well, they aren't jumping fences to get into his state so he really has no idea what it's like.
I'm really trying to keep this on topic and the issue is the same though the reasons are different.
