Thank you for the kind and supportive words. Yes, it is unpleasant to deal with things like I have today. Hopefully, those who feel I am a neo-Confederate or neo-Unionist will realize I will try to take a position that honors everyone's views, but limits how or the tone, in which, those views can be expressed.

I have been contacted by a number of valuable current and past participants by email, some of whom have discontinued posting, fearing that they would be attacked for even their moderate views and remarks. I hope those kinder, gentler and thoughtful "spirits" will return to a more closely managed message board.
