Well I had some kin who fought for the Union. Some of them even lived north of Interstate 10, if you get my meaning. Since my beloved Louisiana and Mississippi both seceded well after the November 1860 elections he was at least President elect of the whole union of states. I'm not bowing a knee to him I just wonder if that way of reffering to him or Davis was ever interpreted to demean their positions.
