That's an interesting thought Jamie. If the South had been able to hold on to the river things may well have been less stressful, not saying it would have ended any different though. If those riverboats had been delayed, boilers blew up, logjams in the river, whatever, we can only pretend to know how it would have ended. It's called 'wishful thinking'. Since it is wishful, we can give it any ending we want. :)
