I wish they would too. I've heard there were a couple but I wasn''t sure what part of the bay. I'd like to see our local underwater archaeological teams work it. The teams from University of West Florida have been mapping and diving a huge number of wrecks in Pensacola Bay. I'd always heard there were around 400 but some of those on the teams say there's more than that. Many are just fishing boats and such but there's a bunch of Snapper boats that used to fish on the Campechee Shelf. They weren't little boats. The UWF teams are the ones who found and did the work on one of DeLuna's ships the hurricane sank. It has been in shallow water covered with silt just off the 17th Avenue Trestle. You never know what's 'out there'.
