Re: D.C. Civil War cemetery
Things like this are disturbing to say the least. A few years ago there was a big mess here. In a National cemetery, a service member and their spouse are buried in the same grave. They each have their information on one side of the stone. When the second is buried, a new stone is placed with the added info. The old stone, with the first burial's name n such is to be destroyed. Some moron who worked at Barrancas National Cemetery took the old stones home. When someone blew the whistle, the cops found he'd built quite a large patio. He was cuffed n booked and I think he had to pay a huge fine. I thought jail time was called for but they never ask me for my opinion.
