The Sons of Confederate Veterans national headquarters has such a program where they will buy a suitable piece of property and place flag poles and flags on historic sites and along major highways. Of course this requires a lot of moneys and someone has to maintain these locations.

You don't have to get involved in the politics of the orgnization to be a independent dues paying member and support these type of things. If you don't have an ancestor, or are not a Male of the species, you can still join as a Friend of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

And If you are of the Northern persuasion there is also the Sond of Union Veterans they are just as involved in preservation of Historic sites and have defended the flying of the Confederate Flag as honorable adversaries against detracter.

Your Yankee money ain't worth as much as Confederate money is now days so why not put it to a good use.
