After the war, Bragg, Hood, Benning, etc, resumed their US citizenship. Those forts have been named as such for about 100 years and haven't produced any rebellion or treason. Perhaps they could find some Yankee officers named Bragg or Hood and make pretense the forts were named after them. That would make everybody happy, right?
