I don't have my data in front of me, but the 52nd GA was raised, if I recall correctly, from the northeastern section of Georgia; for some reason two or three companeis of the 1 S.C. ART were raised in Habersham, Rabun, and Franklin Counties. I would suggest that it is entirely possible that he voluntarily served in both units.
