I can't help you with the family connections, but for information purposes, there is a small (10-12 items) collection of letters of Fletcher and Jasper Brabham which is located at the South Caroliniana Library, at the University of South Carolina. South Caroliniana houses the university's manuscripts and rare books. The letters are in excellent shape, and are legible. They were both in the same company of the 1 S.C. (Hagood's), a regiment in Micah Jenkins's (later John Bratton's) brigade. I believe they were from Barnwell District, but they may have been from Orangeburg. For information, contact Allen Stokes, the Librarian. The letters are written home from various camps and locations in Virginia and in Tennessee.
