I am a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy there in Summerville. A lot of reserach on the hospitals there have been done by Dr. Ed West. Also The H. L. Hunley Camp of Summerville has done research on this area. When you go in the attic, if you find anything on the Confederate Cemetery that was purchsed by our chapter, C. I. walker # 190, I would love to see it. We have been researching this cemetery for years and there are different opinions on where in Summerville it is. There were two hospitals in Summerville, one in Red Hill and the other was on Main and Hwy 78.
