PVT Madison H. BROWN, Co. C, 25th SC Infantry, from Williamsburg Dist., SC, is listed as killed in action at Drewry's Bluff, VA, 16 May 1864 (Kirkland, Randolph H., BROKEN FORTUNES: SOUTH CAROLINA DEAD IN CSA SERVICE 1861-1865, p. 42). Looks like he died as a prisoner in the Union hospital two days after his capture. Hope this helps.
