G. grandaughter , Historian of a UDC Chapter, is seeking more information about this man. He was listed in one web site (by Steve Batsom, Greenville, S.C. ) as an Adj. Co B, 21st S.C. Inf. Enlisted Jul 1862. Wounded early in the war and was at Appomattox and surrendered with his brother, Lt. William Gaillard Dozier, CSN, who was assigned to army near end of war due to shortage of soldiers. She does not have a computer. She wants to know that he did serve as a Capt., Asst. Surgeon, as is believed by the family. Any record of him in any unit other then the 21st S.C. Inf. is also needed along with anything else would be appreciated. UDC awarded him the Southern Cross in 1904. Died in 1917 and he is buried in Tulocay Cemt., Napa, CA.
