Thanks so very much for posting this information. I have often wondered exactly where the hospital was located. I can understand it was the scene of a lot of suffering and death, as my own great-great-uncle died there. But why on earth would there be no historical marker placed to honor the memory of the deceased? This does not seem historically correct to me. When I go there to find this location, can you tell me exactly where the alley is in relation to the bank building? Is it open to where you can walk back there and look around, although I understand there's probably nothing there to see? Do you know of a photo of this hospital anywhere? Thanks.
