The 2nd SOUTH CAROLINA INFANTRY was also from Kershaw County. My great-grandfather, Sgt. Thomas G. West (www.freewebs.com/tgwest ) was a member of Co. G, The Flat Rock Guards. National Parks Historian Mac Wyckoff has written a book on the 2nd SC, which includes a roster of most of the soldiers. Unfortunately, this book is out of print, but you may locate a used one online.
