My 3rd Great-Grandfather, Andrew J. Crosby; was a Private with Company F(Hatch's Coast Ranger's) 23rd South Carolina Infantry. He enlisted on January 22nd, 1864.

My query: I located a hospital register(index card) that lists him, but i cannot read what his infirmity was. Could someone help me with this record?

I would also be interested in knowing if this regiment participated in a battle/skirmish on (or about) July 3rd,1864. And other battles after January 22nd,1864.
