I live in Spartanburg, SC and am doing some genealogy research. My great great great great grand father is Rufus Belton White, born1838, died July 25 1863?, father of Joseph King White who's father to Rufus Calhoun White who's father to my great Grandmother Rebecca Carolyn White who I new until her death in 1992. (sorry for that long sentence)
I'm wondering if this Rufus Belton White is the brother to your gr. gr. grandfather Lt. John Warren White.
