Seeking evidence that Frank Day, Private, Co. L, Palmetto Sharpshooters was wounded and died of the wounds after the Battle of the Wilderness.

Or, as family lore has it, did he survive the war and not die until about 1870.

Frank Day was an ancestor of Robert Lee Day who is a patron of the Henderson Co. Public Library, Hendersonville, NC Mr. Day does not have his own computer or email address.
