Edward Owens, Private, Captain Blackburn Wilson's Co., 17th Reg't. South Carolina Vols.**, his name appears on a company muster roll dated November 29, 1862, presence is "not stated," discharged September 14, 1863, paid off December 30, 1863

Dec. 30, 1863, Edward Owens, Private, Co. F, 17th South Carolina Infantry, CSA received pay for service in Su?? Co. from March 1 to June 28, 63 at Richmond.

This included a traveling allowance from Simous? to Yorkville 275 miles

** This company subsequently became Company F, 17th Regiment South Caroline Infantry
