John Franklin REVIER, my gg-grandfather was in the 1st Regiment TN Cavalry.

I have information that they were engaged at Blountsville, Sullivan Co under Col. James E. Carter.

Family stories say that Revier was captured and released in Nashville.

Any information about this Regiment? I'd appreciate anything.
