Alan thanks for your reply.Nicholas had one child she was my Great Grandmother she went by the name Martha Elizabeth Cynthia we looked for the name Cynthia but never found any.Her Parents are in the Roane Co TN marriage book as Nicholas Sante and Mary Ann Morrison.I found the Sante in the 1850 Morgan Co Tn Federal Census also the 1860 Davidson Co Tn Federal Census one showed their name as Sante another had them as Sant since they were Swiss the name could have been VanSant or VanSante our information is he died in the war his wife remarried.I sure would like to know what happened to him. I had three G GGrandfathers killed in the war also a GGG Grandfather I know what happened to them they were all CSA Thanks D J Richardson
