Re: Captain Burton Leuty
In Response To: Captain Burton Leuty ()

Here I am replieing to my own message! I just had a thought that had never crossed my mind and did some searching on Captain Green B. Keys and came across something I had never seen. I believe I may have been searching under a misspelling, I have found a couple of references to Lenty, Burton
Confederate
Cavalry
Captain
1st Regiment, Tennessee Cavalry (Carter's)

All this time it was Lenty and not Leuty, although I have found it that way a couple of times.
I found it under the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System as well as my Granfather Milton McDonald:

Milton G. McDonald (First_Last)
Regiment Name 1 (Carter's) Tennessee Cavalry.
Side Confederate
Company A
Soldier's Rank_In 2 Lieutenant
Soldier's Rank_Out 2 Lieutenant
Alternate Name M.G./McDonald

Any information on Company A of Regiment 1 of Carters Tennesse Calvalry is still appreciated. I would love to know what battles my Grandfather was in, what he did, where he went etc...
