Yankee Payroll Train Robbed by Forrest

Hello. I know very little about this as to be honest, it never was of importance to me before.
But something has come up to create an interest.
It was in December on the morning of the 15th.
Was the 7th Tennessee CSA with Forrest that night?
What happended to the surviving Union train guards?
Which Union groups were there defending the train as guards?
How much of the payroll, if any was stolen?
Was any of it unaccounted for?
Among other things I am working on a Civil War history of the men who settled this county where I live in central Arkansas.
Thanks for any and all help, even a suggestion on a good site or book.
Thanks!!
