What is the latest date you have found for someone recieving promotion to that level? One of my ancestors, Captain Moses Jackson of the 33rd Mississippi Infantry recieved his promotion to Lt. Colonel on April 19, 1865. Were there any other forthcoming appointments within the Army of Tennessee that simply did not get through, possibly due to the surrender?
